The safety and security of port facilities, employees, partners and visitors is a top priority for “Philippos II” Commercial Port. The port implements modern safety procedures and operational control systems designed to protect port activities and maintain a safe, reliable and efficiently managed operating environment.

At the same time, particular emphasis is placed on environmental protection and the adoption of sustainable operating practices. Through the implementation of environmental policies and compliance procedures aligned with international standards, the port aims to minimize the environmental impact of its activities while promoting responsible and modern port operations.

The port has developed a Marine Pollution Emergency Response Plan and maintains the required response equipment, while providing annual training programs for personnel and partners in accordance with applicable legislation.

In addition, the port operates under an approved Waste Management Plan and has established cooperation agreements for the collection and management of liquid and solid vessel waste, in compliance with current environmental regulations.

“Philippos II” Commercial Port currently operates under ISPS Security Level 1.
